Arrive at Nagpur - The subcapital of Maharashtra. It is also known as the Tiger Capital of India. Proceed to Pench Tiger Reserve - Situated along the Pench River, it is one of the largest game preserves of Madhya Pradesh. Nearby, Ghuhhugarh, is an old fort of the Vakataka period. Enroute visit Ramtek Temple - a temple of Lord Rama, his wife Sita and brother Lakshamana on a hill. Legend has it that the place gets its name because Lord Rama, during his vanvas (exile from Ayodhya), halted here. On arrival at Pench, check in at the hotel. Overnight stay at Pench.
Early morning enjoy Jungle Safari at Pench (Subject to availability). Later proceed to Jabalpur - a city that offers tourists many natural wonders, mythological lore and historical heritage. The most popular attraction is the marble rocks. It is a deep gorge lined by gigantic mountains of marble carved by the Narmada river that flows through. Proceed to visit The Marble Rocks, at Bhedaghat in the Jabalpur district, is one of the most spectacular natural sites in the country. Located around 25 km from the city of Jabalpur on the banks of Narmada river, these rocks rise up as high as 100 feet. Also visit Dhuandhar Falls - The beautiful falls cascade down for 30 meters. Check out from hotel and proceed to Bandhavgarh - a world famous Tiger reserve, spread over the Vindhya Mountains in Central India. More than 22 species of mammals, 250 species of birds and 70 species of butterflies are found in Bandhavgarh National Park. Enjoy Jungle Safari (Subject to availability). This day proceed to Panna - which was the capital of Maharaja Chhatrasal’s kingdom in 17th century AD. The town, meaning emerald, is a diamond mining centre. It is also popular for the Panna National Park, one of the most popular wildlife sanctuaries of India that is home to tigers and several other species of wildlife. Check out from the hotel and leave for Khajuraho - cradled by the Vindhya mountain range, the heritage town of Khajuraho is famed for being home to the UNESCO World Heritage Site listed temple complex that features Hindu and Jain houses of worship. On arrival visit Kandariya Mahadeo Temple, Jain Temple and Chitragupta Temple. In the evening we enjoy the spectacular sound & light show (Subject to Operation). Overnight stay at Khajuraho.
Early morning leave for the town of Orchha which is considered to be Madhya Pradesh’s big draw, graced with medieval style architecture dating from the start of 16th century. Established as the capital of Bundelkhand by Rudra Pratap Singh, a Bundela chief in 1501 A.D., Orchha carries the imprints of all former rulers, who ruled the city at different points in history. On arrival visit Orchha Fort - a medieval fort situated on the seasonal island of Betwa River in Orchha. Chaturbhuj Temple - the original temple where the idol of Lord Rama was supposed to be established. The history of the Chaturbhuj temple is associated with an interesting fable. It is said that Maharani Ganesh Kunwari, wife of Raja Madhukar, the ruler of Orchha wanted to relocate the idol of Rama that was placed in Rani Niwas, her private apartments. As the idol refused to move, the king instead placed the idol of Lord Vishnu, with four arms in the temple. Overnight stay at Orchha.
Leave for Jhansi, a historic city situated between the rivers Pahunj and Betwa, owes its significance and popularity to its link with the heroics of Rani Laxmi Bai, the courageous queen who fought valiantly against the British in the Revolt of 1857. Visit Jhansi Fort, then proceed for Datia - the district headquarters in North-central Madhya Pradesh. It is an ancient town, mentioned in the Mahabharata as Dantavakra. The old town is surrounded by a stone wall, encompassing beautiful attractions. After visit leave for the beautiful city of Gwalior - which enjoys an interesting appeal to visitors. Explore the city of Gwalior, visit the Sun Temple, the elaborate Jai Vilas Palace and the massive sandstone fort which is a prestigious icon of the city - Gwalior Fort. JaiVilas Palace - an ode classic European architecture. The royal palace has a design influenced by Tuscan, Italian, and Corinthian styles. The place belongs to the House of Scindia (Hindu Maratha dynasty) that once ruled in Gwalior.In the evening we have free time for shopping. Overnight stay at Gwalior.
