Arrive at Indore - Situated in the heart of the Malwa Plateau, in the state of Madhya Pradesh, the city of Indore is home to grand monuments, ancient temples and architectural delights that are a legacy of the mighty Holkar dynasty kings, who were the erstwhile rulers of the region. On arrival check in at the hotel. After lunch proceed to visit Rajwada - the first building in India that was restored using the same materials and in the same style that it was originally constructed in. Dating back to the 1747 AD, Rajwada served as the residence of the Holkar dynasty. Lal Bagh Palace - one of the grandest monuments built by the Holkar dynasty, the Lal Bagh Palace is an opulent multi-storey structure, situated on the outskirts of Indore. Overnight stay at Indore.
Early morning leave for Mandu - The fortress town, perched on the southwestern edge of the Malwa Plateau at an altitude of 2000 feet. The place is famous for the love of poet-prince Baz Bahadur for his beautiful consort Rani Roopmati. On arrival visit many remarkable places like Jahaz Mahal, Hindola Mahal, Hoshang Shah's Tomb, Rani Roopmati Pavilion. Later proceed to Maheshwar -lies on the banks of River Narmada. It is believed to have been existing since the beginning of Indian civilisation and even finds mention in the epics of Mahabharata and
Ramayana. Back then, it was known as Mahishmati, the capital city of King Kartivarjun. Visit Holkar Fort - As the name precisely suggests, this was the opulent palace of Rani Ahilyabai Holkar which the reason why it is also known as the Queen's fort. Rajwada - Legend has it that this splendid architectural wonder was constructed under the rule of one of India's most powerful female leaders, Rani Ahilyabai Holkar. Also visit Maheshwar Ghat - One of the most significant and beautiful ghats of river Narmada. Return back back to Indore. Overnight stay at Indore.
Check out from the hotel and proceed to Omkareshwar - home to one of the 12 jyotirlinga temples in the world. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the temple is nestled in the Omkar mountain, an island in the middle of River Narmada. After Darshan proceed to Ujjain - a cityscape of shrines, lying on the banks of river Kshipra. The city is regarded as fallen from heaven. Legend has it, Ujjain is one of the Saptapuris, or the seven holy cities of India that grant moksha or liberation from the cycle of birth and death. On arrival visit Harsiddhi Mata Mandir - which is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas Dedicated to Devi Sati. Kal Bhairav Temple - one of the famous and most visited temples of Ujjain situated close to Shipra river. Overnight stay at Ujjain.
